Jordan is currently receiving climate finance from all three major global climate funds. The GCF currently has currently approved 2 concept notes, 1 project preparation facility, and 3 full funding proposals that deploy climate finance to Jordan for mitigation and adaptation projects, in addition to climate finance readiness support designed to strengthen the NDA to attract funding for climate action from available global sources. In addition, the Global Environment Facility has deployed in excess of $70M USD towards various environmental projects, and the Adaptation Fund over $10M USD for vulnerable communities with more projects in the pipeline.
